Saved, not just shown
Turning a page in a PDF reader usually changes only how you are viewing it. Organise saves the turn into the file, so the page is upright for everyone who opens it, and on paper when it is printed.
Why pages come out sideways
Phones guess which way is up from how they are held, and a document photographed flat on a table often fools them. Scan and Images to PDF both read the photo’s own orientation and put pages the right way up from the start.
Everything in one go
The same screen moves pages earlier or later and deletes them, so you can fix a whole scanned bundle at once. To join several files first, use Merge, then tap Then to bring the result here. Nothing is saved until you press Save the new order, so you can try things freely.
A worked example
A scanned 10-page agreement has pages 3 and 7 upside down and page 5 on its side. Open Organise pages and add it. Tap the rotate button under page 3 twice, under page 7 twice, and under page 5 once or three times, until each picture is upright. Press Save the new order. The result line says 3 rotated, and every reader, printer and portal now shows those pages the right way up.
Which way it turns
Each tap turns a page a quarter turn clockwise. Two taps turn it upside down, and four bring it back to where it started. The picture of the page turns as you tap, so you can see when it is right before saving anything. A page that was saved sideways on purpose, such as a wide table, can be left as it is.
Pages are turned, not redrawn, so a rotated page keeps its text selectable and its photos exactly as sharp as before. If the same scan also has pages in the wrong order, move them with Move earlier and Move later on the same screen, and drop any blank pages with the bin, so a single save fixes everything at once.
Common mistakes
Turning a page in a phone’s PDF viewer and then sending the file: most viewers only change the view on your own screen, so the person receiving still sees the page sideways. Turning it here saves the turn in the file. Another slip is fixing the direction after compressing and uploading; rotate first, so the file you compress and upload is the finished one.
Questions people ask
Can I rotate just one page?
Yes. Each page has its own rotate button; the others stay as they are.
Does rotating lower the quality?
No. The page is turned, not redrawn, so nothing about it changes but its direction.
Is my file uploaded?
No. Everything happens in your browser.
Can I rotate a PDF on my phone?
Yes. The page pictures and buttons are made for touch, and the result can be shared straight from the phone.
Can I turn a photo before it becomes a PDF?
Yes. In Scan, each page has its own turn button before you make the PDF.
Will a portal see the pages the right way up?
Yes. The turn is saved in the file itself, so any reader, printer or portal shows the page the way you left it.
