Merge

Join several PDFs into one, in the order you choose. Nothing is uploaded: the work happens on this device.

About Merge

Merge joins two or more PDFs into one, in the order you set with the arrows. The files are joined in your browser, one at a time, so there is no limit on how many or how big. To move single pages afterwards, tap Then and choose Organise pages.

How to use it

  1. Add two or more PDFs, from your files or by dropping them anywhere on the page.
  2. Put them in order with the up and down arrows beside each file.
  3. Type the password of any locked file in the box under it and tap Unlock.
  4. Press Merge into one file, then Save the result or tap Then to keep working on it.

Good to know

The merged file is named after the first file, with “+ 2 more” or however many follow, so it is easy to tell apart from the originals. Every file you picked stays exactly as it was: a merge always makes a new PDF beside them.

If one file cannot be read, the others are still joined and the result says which one was left out. A merge needs at least two readable files, so when only one opens, nothing is made and you are told why, rather than being handed a copy that looks like work was done.

Locked files can go in, but the merged file comes out with no password, because several files may carry several different ones, and the result says so. If the merged file needs protecting, tap Then and choose Add a password before you send it anywhere.

Questions people ask

How many PDFs can I merge?

As many as your device can hold. There is no cap on count or size.

Can I merge locked PDFs?

Yes. Type each file’s password when asked. The merged file has no password.

Can I add photos too?

Make them a PDF first with Images to PDF, then merge. See how to merge PDF files.

Will the pages lose quality?

No. Pages are copied across as they are, not redrawn, so text stays sharp and selectable and photos are untouched.
