About PDF to images
Saves pages as PNG or JPEG images at screen, sharing or print sharpness: every page, or only the ones you type. Each page becomes its own image. To get the photos stored inside the PDF instead, use Extract images.
How to use it
- Add the PDF, typing its password if it has one.
- Choose PNG or JPEG.
- Choose Screen, Sharing or Print sharpness.
- Type the pages you want, or leave Pages empty for every page.
- Press Save as images, then Save them one by one or with Save all.
Good to know
Each page is drawn the way a PDF reader shows it, text and pictures together, and saved as one image named with its page number. Screen is 72 dpi, Sharing 150 dpi and Print 300 dpi: an A4 page at Print is about 2,480 pixels across, enough to print it again at full size.
PNG is chosen at first because it keeps small print and thin lines perfectly crisp, but its files are bigger, especially for photos. JPEG is better for pages full of photos and for the smallest file, so a portal that wants a page as a JPG under a size limit is best served by JPEG at Screen or Sharing.
Many pages arrive as many files. On a computer, Save all puts them in a folder you pick, or makes one ZIP where the browser cannot save to a folder. On a phone that can share files, Share all sends them to WhatsApp, Gmail or any app that takes pictures.
