Monthly rent receipts for your HRA claim, ready to sign. Nothing is uploaded: the work happens on this device.

About Rent receipts

Makes monthly rent receipts for an HRA claim from what you type: no file needed. Two receipts to a page, the amount in figures and words, the owner’s PAN if you give it, ready to print and sign. Nothing you type is stored or sent.

How to use it

  1. Type your name as the tenant, the owner’s name and the address of the rented home.
  2. Type the monthly rent, the first month, and how many months, up to 24.
  3. Choose how you paid: bank transfer, UPI, cheque or cash.
  4. Type the owner’s PAN if the rent comes to more than ₹1,00,000 in the year.
  5. Press Make the receipts, print them, and have the owner sign each one.

Good to know

Each receipt says who paid, the amount in figures with Indian commas and in words, the month, the address, how it was paid and the owner’s name, with lines for the owner’s signature and the date. The first month is set to April, the start of the financial year, so twelve months covers one tax year.

Receipts should match what you really paid. If the rent changed during the year, make one set for the months at the old rent and another at the new; if you moved, one set for each address and owner. Keep your bank or UPI records of the payments too, in case your employer asks for proof.

This page keeps nothing you type, so have the details ready each time. The PDF is A4 with two receipts to a page, which prints cleanly at home or in a shop. If your employer takes receipts online, photograph the signed copies with Scan and send one PDF.
