Sign
Draw your signature and place it on the page. Nothing is uploaded: the work happens on this device.
About Sign
Draw your signature with a finger or mouse, or type your name, then tap the page where it goes; drag to move it and drag its corner to resize. Tap again on any page to place it again. A drawn signature is a picture on the page; for a certificate a reader can check, use Digital signature.
How to use it
- Add the PDF, typing its password if it has one.
- Draw your signature in the box, or type your name, and choose blue or black ink.
- Tap the page where it goes, then drag it into place and drag its corner to size it.
- Go to any other page that needs it and tap again.
- Press Place the signature and save the signed PDF.
Good to know
On a phone, write slowly: a signature dashed off with a fingertip tends to come out jagged. If it does not look right, tap Clear and draw it again before placing it. A typed name is set in a handwriting-style font your device already has, so it looks a little different on each device.
The signature becomes part of the page, as ink on paper would. That suits most everyday paperwork: rental agreements, consent forms, declarations and office forms returned by email. It does not prove who placed it, and anyone holding the file could copy the picture, so send signed copies only to people who need them.
Where a document must show who signed and that nothing changed afterwards, as some filings and company documents require, a certificate is needed. Many forms also want a date beside the signature: write it with Add text after signing.
Questions people ask
Is my signature stored?
No. It is forgotten when you leave the page. Nothing is uploaded.
Can I use my real ink signature?
Photograph it on white paper and place it with Add image.
Can I sign every page in one go?
Tap each page that needs it; the same signature goes down each time. There is no button that signs every page at once.
