Watermark

Stamp DRAFT or a name across every page. Nothing is uploaded: the work happens on this device.

About Watermark

Stamps your words, such as DRAFT, COPY or a name, across every page, once across the middle or repeated all over, light, medium or strong. A watermark discourages copying; it does not prevent it. The text takes English letters and numbers for now.

How to use it

  1. Add one or more PDFs.
  2. Type the watermark text, such as DRAFT, COPY or FOR BANK KYC ONLY.
  3. Choose Light, Medium or Strong.
  4. Choose Once, across the middle, or Repeated all over.
  5. Press Add the watermark and save the files.

Good to know

The words go on in bold grey, set at an angle. Once, across the middle is sized to the page and to your words, so DRAFT and a long line such as FOR OFFICE USE ONLY both cross the page without running off it. Repeated all over sets smaller copies in rows across the whole page, which is much harder to crop out or cover up.

Light lets the page read almost as normal, Medium is clearly visible without getting in the way, and Strong is for when the mark matters more than easy reading. The watermark is laid over the page, so it shows on scanned pages and photos as well as on typed text.

Words in English letters go on as real text. Malayalam, Hindi, Tamil and other scripts go on too, drawn by your browser as a picture of the words in the same place, so they cannot be selected. Every file you add gets the same mark, and a locked file comes back locked with its own password.

Questions people ask

Can I watermark an ID copy?

Yes. Something like FOR BANK KYC ONLY, repeated and light, is a common habit. See add a watermark.

Does this site add its own watermark?

Never. Only the one you type goes on.

Can someone remove a watermark?

Someone with a PDF editor and some patience can. For real protection, add a password with Add a password as well.
