About Edit pictures
Move, resize, take out or swap the pictures already on a page: a logo, a photo, a stamp. Each picture is outlined; drag it, drag its corner, tap its × to take it out, or choose a new picture to swap in. Nothing else on the page changes.
How to use it
- Add the PDF and go to the page with the picture.
- Tap a picture to select it; every picture on the page is outlined.
- Drag it to move it, drag its corner to resize it, or tap its × to take it out.
- To swap it, keep it selected and choose a new picture.
- Press Save the changes and save the new copy.
Good to know
Only the picture you work on changes. Text, lines and other pictures on the page stay exactly where they were, because the tool changes the one instruction that draws that picture and nothing else. Tapping × a second time keeps a picture you had marked to take out.
A swapped-in picture keeps its own shape inside the old one’s box, so a square logo replacing a wide one sits centred rather than stretched. A PNG with a see-through background suits logos and stamps, because the page shows around them.
Some things that look like pictures are not: a chart or logo drawn from lines and shapes cannot be selected, and a picture tucked inside a larger drawing may not be editable on its own. The result says how many changes could not be made, so nothing fails quietly.
Questions people ask
Does a swapped picture get stretched?
No. It keeps its own shape inside the old picture’s box.
Want to save a picture instead?
Use Extract images.
Is a taken-out picture gone from the file?
It is no longer drawn, so nobody sees it, but its data may still be stored inside. For something private, use Remove areas on that part of the page instead.
